A FEP is a Farm Environment Plan, a document and map on which every detail of the farm is included which must accompany an HLS application. This is usually undertaken by a person trained by RDS and a contribution towards the cost is available according to farm size. The FEP includes a Historic Environment Record, which is a desk study of the records held by the local Historic Environment Unit. The person undertaking the FEP looks at any sites shown and records their condition.
