What is a female daddy long legs called?
Actually, as I understand it most of the ones you run across are female. As with many spiders, the bigger ones are the female, and after they mate, they eat the males. EDIT: Apparently it depends where you live. A “Daddy Long Legs” in the UK is a TOTALLY different creature than it is in the US or in Australia, and I had a hard time finding information on the spider I call a “Daddy Long Legs” on the internet, and found they are also called Cellar Spiders or Vibrating Spiders. Wiki was totally useless, and the best place I found was http://www.xs4all.nl/…/Pholcidae.
