What is a Facsimile Etching?
A. A facsimile etching is a photographic reproduction of an original etching, which is why Norman Lindsay’s signature appears at the bottom. They are limited to 550 hand numbered copies each with a certificate of authenticity. All printing matter is destroyed and they are never reproduced again. The first facsimile etchings were done in 1974 and the 100th facsimile was produced in 2006.
