What is a Face-to-Face Course?
The face-to-face course is one in which less than one-third (5 semester hours per credit) of course instructional time, content delivery and/or communication between student and professor and among students is facilitated via technology that allows students to be physically separate from the instructor and each other. These definitions cover most course types offered. However, in unusual cases, it may be necessary for the faculty to construct additional methods for determining course type. For example, lab course do not follow the typical semester credit hour formula.
