What is a dual-balanced armature?

0

Found in our Custom 3 and Custom 2 headphones, a dual-balanced armature is essentially the same thing as a balanced armature (see above) except for the fact that you get two, instead of one, armatures per ear. In a two-way design (Custom 3), one armature is used for high frequencies, while the other handles the low frequencies. A crossover separates the high frequencies from the low frequencies for better acoustic performance. In a parallel or side-by-side design (Custom 2), the additional armature provides more efficiency and enhanced bass.
