Ah, two questions in one! A domain name would be something like yoursite.com which people would type into their web browsers or select from a page of links in order to visit your site. Domain names are easier to remember and type correctly than a numeric IP address such as 127.0.0.1 and are more expressive of what your site is about. A web host is a computer server connected to a high-speed Internet conection that runs a web hosting application software such as Apache or IIS (Internet Information Server by Microsoft). This software functions to send data such as HTML code over the Internet so it can be rendered in people’s web browsers for viewing. Web hosts often support things such as streaming audio and video as well, so sites such as YouTube.com can offer these things to their viewers.
