What Is A Design FMEA(DFMEA)?
The Design FMEA is a point in time audit of the adequacy of the Design Specifications in defining a product that will meet the Product Requirements. The Design FMEA identifies the risk that the company will be exposed to if a product is produced which meets the design specifications as they are currently defined. Using ISO terminology, you are trying to assess how well the design outputs meet the design input requirements.
