What is a deposit?
A deposit is a portion of the purchase price of a property that you provide. The deposit can alter many features of your mortgage. For example, if you put down a larger deposit the lender may be willing to offer you a lower interest rate. You will still need money for your solicitor fees, valuation fees and settling into your new home, so putting every penny into your deposit may get you a lower interest rate but may not be the best option.
In some instances TravelCell might require a deposit. A deposit is an actual charge taken from your credit card account. In the event that Travelcell takes a deposit from your account, the money will be held until a statement has been processed and charged to your account. When your final TravelCell statement is processed, your credit card will be refunded or charged accordingly.
A deposit is usually one copy (if unpublished) or two copies (if published) of the work to be registered for copyright. In certain cases such as works of the visual arts, identifying material such as a photograph may be used instead. The deposit is sent with the application and fee and becomes the property of the Library of Congress.
In many cases provider ask for a deposit before starting the project. A project-related deposit is made by the buyer to a MondayWorks escrow account. Subsequently, neither buyer nor provider have unrestricted access to this deposit. After verifying the project results (or first partial results) the buyer can just release a sum for payment to the provider. Deposits which have not been used will be reimbursed to the buyer.
