A Dental Infection Control Link Nurse is an individual who, on a day-to-day basis, works in the dental premise promoting high standards of infection control. To fulfill this role, they will require knowledge of the basic principles of infection so that they know and understand why it is important to follow principles and procedures. Link Nurses are individuals who can, and will, recognize infection risks and under direction of the dentist, take appropriate actions.
