What is a Declaration of Candidacy?
Students expecting to complete work for their degree must declare their intent to earn this degree and graduate. This is done by submitting a Declaration of Candidacy (DoC) form accompanied by the appropriate fee(s). Also on the Declaration of Candidacy, students have the option of electing to participate in commencement. Students have until December 1 of each year to file to graduate (submit a DoC) for the following spring or summer terms, and until April 1 of each year to file to graduate (submit a DoC) in the following fall term.
