What is a DEBI?
DEBI stands for Diffusion of Effective Behavioral Interventions. They are programs that have been designated, through research, by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) to be successful interventions for changing risky behaviors. The CDC’s “diffusion” of these interventions is to bring science-based, community-and group-level HIV prevention interventions to community-based service providers and state and local health departments.
