Under the NIOSH Dose Reconstruction Program, Public Health Advisors (PHAs) oversee the processing of cancer cases filed under Subtitle B of The Act that are forwarded to NIOSH for dose reconstruction by the Department of Labor. PHAs assure consistent and quality processing of cases and act as a point of contact for case status information for claimants and their authorized representatives while their case is with NIOSH. PHAs are responsible for developing and managing cases as they go through the NIOSH dose reconstruction process.
