What is a day in after-school like?
After-School care begins when the regular school day ends. The children are offered a snack, usually consisting of apples, bananas, and pretzel rods, until they are picked up by our club teachers. For the first half of the day in after-school, the children participate in one of our “clubs”. For the second half, they are in multi-grade groupings for what we refer to as “free” or “variety” time, in one of our open play spaces, schoolyards, or gyms.
