What is a datasheet supplement?
A datasheet supplement is published when the options available in a given part exceed what can be explained in the datasheet without confusion. For example, explaining various methods of derating the 750FX power dissipation derating over Vdd was considered too complicated to incorporate into the datasheet, so they were published as a supplement. IBM confidential datasheet supplements specific to a customer may also be issued to document a particular part number that is proprietary to that customer. At any time, a supplement may be combined with the datasheet.
