Second, you can check for ‘dive export’ in HELP and see if the program will create a DL7 or ZXU style file. The ability for a dive computer to create a DL7 is NOT mandatory. It is completely up to the manufacturer of the individual software. As of 2004 Uwatec was graded as a Level 1 provider, Sunto as a Level 2, with Cochran, Dive Rite and Delta P VR3 graded as Level 3. This means that the dive computer user must check their software to see if it is capable of producing a DAN DL7 file, either Level 1, 2 or 3. If it cannot produce a DL7 file the DAN DL7 ScubaLink cannot import the dive computer data.
