What is a CVV2 number?
To protect our members against fraudulent charges, gay.com requires a 3 or 4-digit CVV2 be entered when making a credit card purchase. This number can be found on the front or back of a credit card depending on the issuing company. For American Express the CVV2 is generally located on the front of the card, for Visa, MasterCard and Discover the CVV2 is generally located on the back of the card. The graphic provided should assist you in locating this number. If you have difficulties locating your CVV2 please contact your credit card issuer.
The CVV2 number is the last three digits of the number in the signature box, on the back of the your card. If you are using an American Express card and the signature box does not have such a number, the CVV2 number is the last three digits of the printed number located on the front of your card, above the embossed card number.
