Cutaway coats, also commonly referred to as “morning coats,” are worn during the day and are not to be worn after sundown. These coats do not have satin lapels and are available in black and gray. The gray coat is worn with gray striped slacks and is the traditional attire for morning weddings. The black coat is worn with black tuxedo slacks and is acceptable attire for any part of the day.
