What is a crocodile of concern?
Any estuarine crocodile in the wild that: • is found south of the Boyne River (near Gladstone); or • has attacked, or is about to attack, or is behaving aggressively towards a person; or • is determined by DERM to pose a threat or a potential threat to human safety or wellbeing; or • has passed a crocodile prevention barrier and has attacked, or is about to attack, or is behaving aggressively towards, stock, working dogs or aquaculture fisheries resources; or • is two metres or greater in length located in defined urban management areas unless it was just moving through the area or was within well known crocodile habitat within the area.
