What is a CPA/CPL performance-based marketing campaign?
In a performance marketing campaign, a publisher receives a flat commission payout for generating a transaction for a lead or a sale, for a merchant that the publisher is promoting. The merchant provides its ads to publishers and assigns a payout for each action. Publishers place the tracking code for these ads on their Web sites or in search listings. Whenever a visitor uses these links to generate an action on the merchant’s site, that transaction is tracked online. If a product or service is purchased from the merchant, the publisher is paid a flat payout for that transaction.
