What is a cooperative nursery school?
The cooperative nursery school model is one in which parents work together to operate a school. Parents work on committees, serve on a board of directors, and volunteer in classrooms. At our school, parents work with highly trained and experienced staff to operate the school. Parents also attend monthly membership meetings and may attend a monthly board meeting. Other responsibilities for members include attending a school wide cleaning and organizing session and attending a training workshop before working in the classrooms.
