Avon.Com, like many Internet eTailers, utilizes a “shopping cart” or “shopping bag” to account for a Shopper’s transactions. A requirement of the “shopping bag” technology is that the Shopper’s personal computer accepts “cookies”. It is the “cookie” that uniquely identifies you and your shopping cart from those of others. Cookies keep your purchases separate from those being purchased by other Shoppers who are visiting the site at the same time as you. Cookies are the vehicles that allow you to add, subtract, and modify the contents of your shopping bag. Avon.com uses “cookies” to make our site more personal and friendly, as well.
