What is a connection fee, or flag fall?
Some phone cards have a connection fee or flag fall which is a once off charge for each call made. This charge is applied once the destination party called answers the phone. If your talk time is usually quite long (more that 10 minutes) per call it may be worthwhile using cards with a once off connection fee such as Compass and Greek City. These cards usually have a lower per minute rate. If you tend to make shorter calls it may be worth using cards with no connection fee such as Click or South Asia Card. …
