What is a Conditional job offer?
Prior to giving a candidate a bonafide job offer, an employer is prohibited from making inquiries into certain areas of your life that may be protected under the Americans With Disabilities Act. Once determination has been made that a candidate meets the minimum qualifications for the job, and a job is readily available to offer, a Conditional Offer of Employment is made, contingent on your being able to satisfy more restrictive requirements for the specific job being offered. At this point, more intrusive inquiries (post job-offer testing) is performed to assure you are physically, emotionally, and psychologically fit for the job of a Public Safety Officer.
