Solution: The Network Concurrent User Installation is an installation that allows multiple users to run a key of MATLAB (one user per key at a time). This license can consist of 1 or more keys of basic MATLAB and any number of other MATLAB products. With this installation type, the FLEXnet License Manager application is installed on a central network computer, which we call the “License Server”. This License Server does not have to be an actual Server. The License Server can be any computer on this network that can be seen by all of the clients computers and meets the MATLAB system requirements. The License Server’s purpose is to manage the number of users that can run MATLAB at a time. This value is based off of the number of keys on a given license. 10 keys of MATLAB on a license, means that up to 10 users can run MATLAB at any given time.
