What is a community college annexation?
The Texas Education Code, Chapter 130, allows your community to petition the ACC District, the community college serving your area, for annexation. If certain requirements are met and the college approves the proposed request, an election is scheduled on the issue and all residents are presented a service area plan that lays out the specific costs and benefits if annexation is approved.
