What is a Commercial Site?
Submit your idea for an Commercial Site to the instructor for approval before you begin working. A Commercial Site could be defined as one selling a product. Commercial Sites need to sell, sell, sell. The point is to get the user to click on the buy button and complete the transaction. You can use a real product or make up one for this project. Probably one or two products will be plenty for the project. Your job is to create a site that would successfully sell your product to potential customers. Your web site should reflect those aims and goals, have a look and feel consistent with the subject matter, and enough depth (6 pages are required as a minimum for this project) to give us a glimpse of the potential of the site. There is no shopping cart script provided with Dreamweaver, so we will only create the pages that lead up to the “Buy Now” button, but we will not create the forms that collect name, address, credit card number and so on from the customer.
