What is a command line option and how do I enter one?
As time passes, I find that more and more people who have no experience with DOS or the early days of Windows are using UOAM. That’s not a bad thing but it does mean that it is more and more likely that when I mention the term “command line option” to someone, he is going to be left scratching his head in bewilderment. (What do they teach these kids at school these days? *grin*) Back in the day, there was no window. There was no desktop. There was no GUI (graphical user interface). We all had to interact with our computers through what is known as a command line interface. Most of us who work with computers on a technical level still prefer to do some things that way. A command line interface is a very simple interface where you type instructions at a command prompt, the computer executes them (or at least tries) and the computer prints back the results.
