What is a combined resume?
There are several different types of resumes. One is a “chronological resume.” This is the most traditional type of resume. It essentially presents your work history, education, and other relevant information in reverse chronological order. There is also something called a “functional resume.” This resume places emphasis on your skill sets (what you can do), rather than your employment (what you have done in the past). A combined resume, as the name implies, includes features of both types of resumes. Your skill sets are usually emphasized at the top of your resume, under a “Summary of Qualifications,” and are typically followed by a shorter chronology of your previous jobs.
