What is a Colloid?
Colloid is a fancy scientific word for “tiny” or “nano-sized”. Colloidal minerals are minute particles of gold and silver that have been broken down and suspended in water so they are ingestible by humans. A substance is a colloid, when it consists of ultra-fine particles that do not dissolve but remain in suspension in water. These ultra-fine particles are larger than most molecules but so small they cannot be seen by the naked eye even submicroscopic. In a true colloid of silver, the ideal size of the silver particles falls within the range of 0.005 – 0.015 microns in diameter. These particles are electrically charged and allow the silver particles to remain suspended in water.
