What is a closed x-ray system?
A closed x-ray system is one in which the x-rays are produced within a cabinet that is carefully designed and screened to reduce the amount of ionising radiation leaking into the outside environment to an extremely low level. Analysed Images specialises in postal x-ray screening systems, x-ray security systems, and baggage x-ray systems. We produce two types of closed x-ray systems, cabinet based units and conveyor based units. A cabinet x-ray system contains an x-ray tube installed within a shielded enclosure designed to minimise the amount of x-rays that can leak from the enclosure and safely interlocked to prevent people from having access to the area where x-rays are produced. These systems can create images of the contents of letters, parcels and luggage without them having to be opened.
