What is a clock generator (CG) PLL?
A CG PLL is the primary choice for generating a stable high-frequency clock, which is phase-locked to a lower-frequency reference clock. A CG PLL would typically be used to produce a processor clock, where the processor has no dependencies on the reference clock domain. TCI provides silicon-proven CG PLLs with low jitter, low power, and very large multiplication ranges.
