What is a clay bar treatment, and why does my car need it?
A. A clay bar is a specially formulated piece of clay that removes all contaminants from the surface of your paint. Contaminants that cling (more +/-)to your paint cannot be removed by washing or waxing, and a clay bar has potent adhesion properties that stick to surface contaminants without compromising the integrity of the paint. Over time clinging surface contaminants build up on car’s surface and a clay bar treatment is the most effective way to remove these contaminants. Some vehicles that have been exposed to extreme conditions (paint overspray, industrial fallout, tree sap, oils, tar, etc) will need a clay bar treatment to renew the condition of the paint.
