What is a City Awarding Authority?
A City awarding authority is any Board of Commissioners, any authorized departmental employee or any Office of the City, including the Purchasing Agent, who enters into any contract or agreement for the provision of goods or services on behalf of the City of Los Angeles. Is EEO/AA approval required for media advertising services (print and video) when requested by a city department to run public information ads? This approval is not required for services for special circumstances or urgent necessity.
