What is a charting station?
A. 91.7, the Gospel is one of the charting stations for the Singing News. We play songs from the top 80 that fit our format. We also chart our top 20 songs each month and that list goes into the mix that forms the top 80 national songs. The songs we play are current releases from national compilations. This is the same format used by the other top gospel stations all around the country. We are striving to be the best we can be. As we are sure you understand, there is no way we can play all that is sent to us. In the midst of our charting songs, we also play some of the best classic Southern Gospel music, as well as some songs from the last few years that are on their way to being future classics.
