What is a Cervical Mucus Chart?
Your Cervical Mucus (CM) chart is a graphical representation of changes to your cervical mucus during your cycle. The CM chart looks like two pie charts stacked on top of each other. The slices visible in the outer section of the chart represent days in your cycle and the inner section shows “phases” of your cycle when your level of fertility changes. Each of these slices or sections is colored differently according to a legend. Days are colored based on menstruation, cervical mucus (or lack of) and position (relative to both menstruation and the wet days of your cycle). The inner “phases” are colored to show probable fertility and fertility, based on characteristics of the days that make up the phases.
