WHAT IS A CERTIFIED SAMPLING TECHNICIAN?
A sampling technician is an individual who has completed an EPA-accredited training course in taking, testing and analyzing paint and other samples to determine if lead paint is present at a job site. A certified lead-based paint inspector or risk assessor can also perform the functions of a sampling technician. To maintain certification, a person has to complete an accredited refresher course every three years. We provide ongoing training and certification procedures for individuals to obtain the certified sampling technician standing with the EPA.
