What is a Certified Farmers Market?
A Certified Farmers’ Market (CFM) is a market where farmers sell their crops and other agricultural commodities directly to the public. The county agricultural commissioner must approve the location of a CFM and must certify that the farmers selling at the market are selling commodities of their own production. Participants cannot purchase agricultural commodities and then resell them at a CFM.
