A Certificate of Occupancy is a document that is received following the completion of a project, provided all final inspections are approved by all applicable Village departments. The applicant can request an application for a Certificate of Occupancy from the Community Development Department. There is a fee associated with the Final Certificate of Occupancy which is included in the Building Permit fee. However, when requesting a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy, an additional fee ($125.00 Residential and $270-$800, based on sq. ft., Commercial), along with a cash bond in an amount equal to the unfinished work, will be required.
