What is a CERTAIN interview method for getting a job in a (UK) council?
You’re doing something right because you’re getting to the interview stage, the application form is pretty tough. The most important question you’re asked when going for a Council position is about their equal opportunities policy – your local council’s commitment to equal opportunities and all their bumph about it should be on their website, you could also discuss in terms of how equal opportunities is implemented in terms of the job you’re going for. As you didn’t get the job you can ring the Personnel department (ask them if you can speak to the person who interviewed you), when you’re interviewed the interviewers will have made notes about your answers and marked them, they should be able to give you feedback on your answers and if you’re allowed to speak to the interviewers, you could also ask them for feedback and what they might have expected to hear from you. You should also make a note of the questions you’ve been asked afterwards, particularly if you’re asked similar question
