What is a CD partition, and when is it required?
A. A CD partition is portion of the flash drive that cannot be erased without special software or reformatting. The size of this partition is defined by the amount of data that needs to be stored. The balance of the flash drive is a separate partition that works normally – you can read and write over data. A CD partition is required to auto run applications such as flash presentations, or to open a URL each time the flash drive is plugged in.
