All students in Washington will be required to take a Classroom Based Performance Assessment, or CBPA, in the areas of Social Studies and the Arts (music, drama, art and dance). Rather than an MSP style test, the CBPAs are projects designed to allow students to show their skills through performance of the skills they learn in class. Scores will be reported to the state in addition to the MSP scores.
