What is a Cast Lanyard Series pin?
Cast Lanyard Series pins were introduced in 2002 as a creative way to help promote Disney pin and pin trading. These pins are provided by Disney to Cast Members to wear on their lanyard for trading with resort guests. They are not sold in any store and are only initially available by trading with a Cast Member. Most are back stamped “Cast Lanyard Series,” but a few of the earlier Cast Lanyard Series pins are not. All have the Disney copyright logo stamp on the back of the pin. These are NOT Cast Exclusive or Limited Edition pins (see definitions below).
Cast Lanyard Series pins were introduced in 2002 as a creative way to help promote Disney pin sales and pin trading. The Disney cast members are issued either a lanyard, (which they wear around their necks), or a pin pad, (which they wear on a belt around their waist). These lanyards and pads hold the special pins that are provided by Disney to the cast members to wear for trading with resort guests. These special pins are not sold in any store, or at any of the Pin Trader kiosks around the Disney parks and resorts. These pins are only initially available by trading with a cast member.
