What is a Caricature?
A caricature is an artist’s interpretation of someones features, usually their face. It is not a portrait. Typically a caricature will focus on one or two distinct elements of someone’s face and exaggerate them to make the drawing comical, cartoonish and recognizable. Though some caricature artists strive for extreme exaggeration, I prefer a more tame approach. I strive to make my caricature both comical and non offensive.
