What is a CARES Educational Plan for Professional Development?

0

The CARES Educational Plan for Professional Development is a CARES document that you must submit prior to completing hours and units for payment. The plan lists the six (6) Professional Development hours (18-54 hours for Entry Track FCC Participants choosing to complete hours instead of units) and the college units that you are planning to complete to receive a stipend. SD CARES staff will review the plan to verify the hours and units qualify to receive a stipend. The college units on your CARES Educational Plan must also be listed on your college plan in order to count towards your stipend payment. All college units and Professional Development hours completed towards a stipend must be completed within one year of the date you are applying for a stipend and after you were accepted in the CARES program or your last stipend award payment.
