What is a Career Fair?
The Career Fair is an event at which a large number of employers “set up shop” and recruit candidates who are interested in full-time career positions, as well as part-time jobs and internships. If you are not yet ready to seek employment, the job fair provides an opportunity to gather information about employers for future use. During the Career Fair, employers sit at tables, and students walk around from table to table to talk to employers about available openings or get more information about the company or industry. A Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for candidates to network with recruiters from a variety of career fields and graduate and professional programs. Candidates can move from table to table distributing resumes and learning about internships and full-time employment opportunities.
