What is a canvas lithograph print?

0

To produce a canvas lithograph print or canvas transfer, a thin film is applied to the ink side of a paper print. The paper is then carefully removed from the back side leaving only the ink on the film. This film is then adhered to artists canvas. To complete the process the canvas is attached to wooden stretchers. The finished work looks like and handles like an original painting. To further enhance each print, Bill McGrath, personally adds highlight paint to the print making each uniquely individual – similar to a remarqued paper print. You do not have to put paper mattes around it nor do you need glass over it. All you have to do is add the frame of your choice. ________________________________________________ REMARQUE What is a remarqued print? A remarque is an original pencil drawing personally done by Bill McGrath in the lower border area of a signed and numbered print. It is approximately 5″ wide (depending on subject) and can be done on either side of the prints’ Main Title. Ea
