What is a C Major Scale?
“A major scale is a group of 7 notes from the 12 available pitches in every temperament music. A major scale is a patter of these 7 pitches put together in a series of whole and half steps. A whole step is 2 half steps put together. This could be found and easily represented on the piano. Let’s take a look at the piano to talk about whole and half steps. This is a note on the piano if you go up 1 note above it that is a half step. If you start from the same note and go up 2 half steps 1,2 you have a whole step. The major scale pattern is comprised of whole and half steps which goes in this order. Let’s look at the major scale patter.
