What is a “Buddy List” and its purpose?
Buddy lists, available within the Profile page, are lists of users you meet on here and wish to setup in a personal address book. You can select different criteria from the list of fields in everyone’s profile, such as if they permit private messaging, E-Mail, etc. You can build of list of friends in order to more easily contact them through various means, such as PM or E-Mail, etc. Now for the technical part… when at the “Buddy List” screen, click on the yellow arrow next to where it says “User fields list” and you can check fields that will show up in the buddy list screen. The most common being “Private Message” and “E-Mail address” but add as many as you wish. These fields display that information for each user in your list. The more fields you add, the more powerful your buddy becomes (the more stuff you can per each user listed in your list).
