What is a Botany degree about?
Botany is a branch of the Science Biology; in particular it involves the specialist study of plants. It introduces students to the nature of plants, their structure, classification, function and reproduction. Students further examine modern techniques in genetic engineering and polluting effects on plants. Within the field of Botany are a number of specialized areas of study; these include horticulture, forestry and morphology. Students aspiring to study in the field of botany are able to do, as Botany specialization is available through the Bachelor of Science degree. Standard requirements for most students doing a course in Botany would be required to complete subjects in, although these core subjects may depend on institution, they virtually provide very similar content.
