What is a biophysical profile (BPP)?
The biophysical profile combines an ultrasound evaluation with a NST. BPP is performed if there is a question about fetal well-being with an abnormal NST or with maternal/fetal problems, or if the pregnancy is considered high-risk Biophysical profile (BPP) uses sonogram to evaluate different parameters of the fetal movements. The result helps your doctor determine how your pregnancy should be managed and when your baby should be delivered.
